Why are the Disney crew members on strike?
There has been unrest in the magical world of Disneyland Paris since May 2023. The staff has been engaged in strikes ever since, but the scale of the actions has increased recently. The Disney Parks and Hotels remain open, but it may happen that not all attractions are accessible or that certain shows are cancelled.
Where does the unrest come from?
The Crew Members have been dissatisfied with the salary and working conditions for some time. For example, they think that the workload is too high in some situations and they want an additional €200. According to them, high inflation and rising costs are not taken into account. They also want double wages on Sundays and a higher mileage tax.
Consequences for guests:
We read various things on Social Media about the consequences for the guests of the park. Unfortunately, some are inconvenienced by the strikes. For example, they cannot enter all attractions or there are long queues at the entrance and in the hotel. Others say they don't notice the strikes much. So it depends a bit on when you go.
