Spreading the Magic: Pixie Dust

It is already a real trend in America and it is also becoming increasingly popular in Europe: Pixie Dust.

You may have heard of it, a small bag is made with all kinds of fun stuff in it. From candy to pins and from stickers to a sweet personal message. You can't think of anything that crazy, as long as it fits in a hand-sized bag, it can all be included. Of course, you can't forget the most important thing, the Pixie Dust (glitter) itself! It's an easy way to spread the magic even further and make your visit to one of the Disney parks even more magical!

The term itself of course comes from the stories of Peter Pan, for example, who used Tinkerbell's Pixie Dust to be able to fly (as long as you believed in it of course 😉 ). But the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty also used Pixie Dust to make their wishes for Sleeping Beauty come true. And what about the Fairy Godmother who conjured up the most beautiful things for Cinderella with Pixie Dust.

The term Pixie Dust is primarily a term used to describe 'random acts of kindness' from cast members in Disney parks. From free fast passes, a nice surprise on your birthday or even room upgrades, cast members make us feel special by showering us with Pixie Dust. Cast members also started physically spreading Pixie Dust throughout Disney parks, cruise ships and other Disney related locations. At a random moment, a guest is sprinkled with sparkling glitter powder. This mainly happens at places like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique salons as a conclusion to the princess makeover, but Peter Pan can also surprise you in the parks by 'Pixiedusting' you!
